Th© first meting of householders of the _»ortb Linwood School District was held last evening, about 180 householdon. being present. Mr John Jamieson. a member of th© Education Board, was voted' to th© chair.

Tho attendance had mado steady progress. Tho following figures shot, the monthly roll number and average attendance from August to December, 1908:—Roll number: August, 233; average, 195. September: Roll number 273, average 239. October: Roll number, 291; average, 244. November: Roll number, 298; average, 254. December: Roll n-__b-_, 303; average, 263. The average for the wholo period -was 239. Great credit vras duo to the master and staff for the progress the children had made.

Eighteen householders wero nominated to act on the Committee. Tbo ballot resulted in th© return of Messrs Benton, Trig©,, Goobe, Milne, taarke, Murray, Sierakowski, and Hardy.
