_♦ . The C_ri»tch_rc_. Homing Pigeon Society flew ofl a leoe from Clinton on Wednesday Forty-five birds were sent, representing seventeen lofts. The birds wer-i liberated! at 7 a.m in showery weather, and with a sou'-wesl •wind blowing. __to winner was Mr J. Porter'e Gladiator, which traversed the distance of 215 miles 870 yards air*line in shr ~6min 66sec. The 'Society desires to thank the stationmaster for attending to and liberating- tho birds.
