Russia is threatened with practically a wheat famine, and this fact will add greatly to tbe usual foreign demand for Ameri-, can wheat. Unless something unforeseen occurs to interfere with the crops, wo shall have plenty and to spare for tho wants of our foreign customers."

There is no change in the wheat market, and tho only business done has been in small lots at 4s at country stations. Chaff is slow of sale, and thero is less demand for potatoes for shipment, as quotations for supplies are lower in the South. Tho undermentioned! are the prices paid to fanners, at country stations, treo of commission, except where otherwise stated:— Wheat (nominal)— Tuscan and Pearl 4s, Hunters 3& lOd, at country stations. Oats—Nominal. Peas—Partridges 3s 6d to 3s 9d, Prussian Blues 5s Gd, at country stations. Flour—£lo 10s per ton. Bran~-£4 15s local, £4 10a f.o.b. per ton. Pollard—£6 per ton. Oatmeal —£12 per ton. Oatshoaf Chaff—£3 5s at country stations.. Potatoes—Derwenta and Up-to-Datee £3 7s 6d>, and seed Derwents and Up-to-Dates £3 10s at country stations. Dairy Produce—Cheese, factory 6£d, dairy 6d, loaf choose 61d. Butter, factory I3d, fanners' separator lid, dairy 10d- Baoon, sides BJd, rolls 9Jd, hams 9d. Honey, extracted, 4d per lb; wax Is 2d per lb. Lnrd (pacikots) Bdi. Fresh eggs lid per dozen.
