IMPROVEMENTS IN MOTOR CARS

At last we are in a position to offei to the public just what is wanted iv motor cars required for overy-day use. The four-cylinder engine fitted to a motor car is admitted by all engineers and motorists to give the best results. Owing to the high price in tho past for tho best makes of four-cylinder cars, many doctors, farmers and other users are driving cars with single and twin-cylinder engines, which at the best are noisy, and a very poor substitute for the four-cylinder system. Tbe new IDO3 10-12 h.p. four-cylinder Humber, giving 17 h.D. R.A.C. rating, marks a step forward in motor-car construction Th 6 new Humber is sold at a price previously charged for single-cylinder cars. On testing the sample Humber on the fiat and lulls, we decided to cancel by cable all our oruers for one and two-cylinder cars. We now give notice that in future we will only stock fourcylinder cars. The new Humber is fully guaranteed. The improvements are tho double ignition by magneto, and accumulators. The magneto generates the electricity to explode the charge of petrol gas in the engines, and never requires re-charging, as in the case of the out-of-date accumulator system. All motorists living in the country must have magnetos to prevent being stuck up owing to the accumu-

lator3 failing. The gate change speed is a decided improvement, ana can bo operated by a boy or girl with the. greatest case. Tho mechanical lubricator is a safeguard against any trouble on the road duo to over heating bearing- caused by the failure of the oil system. The now 10-12 h.p. Humber can bo supplied fitted with two-seater bodies or four-seater side entrance bodies. also, a special model for doctors, with cape hood, wind shield, etc. Tho public am invited to inspect the samplr Humber s;t 13S-.--0 Hij.b street, Christchurch.
