Continuing the senior competitions on Saturday. North Canterbury defeated Oxford by 6 to 3. For the winners J. Wilson scored a try, and B. Gordon kicked a penalty goal. For Oxford, Tipping kicked a goal from a mark. By winning this match North Canterbury secured the banner for tho season. The Maoris' team, Tv Ahuriri, defaulted to Amberley. In the junior competition, North Canterbury A defeated tho t> team by 11 to 3. *D. Coates, T. Barr, and W. Keir obtained tries, and Hills convert ed one. For tho losers Martyn scored a try.
