KAIAPOI.
The annual licensing meeting was held at Kaiapoi at noon yesterday. Present—Mr V. G. Day, S.M. (chairman). Messrs J. W. Foster, C. Leech, R. Coup, W. Doubteday, and J. L. Wilson. A transfer of the license of the Kaikainui Hotel, Kaiapoi, from H. J. Newton to Thos. McGrath, was granted. The police reports were all of a favourable character. Repairs and alterations requested had been attended to. A water supply for tho Red Lion Hotel, Rangiora, "had been provided. The licenses granted were:—ln Kaiapoi, Thomas McGrath, Kaikain-ui Hotel; Leonard R. Dodson, Mandeville; and Thomas R. Hughes. Pier. Iv Rangiora, Ernest V. Smith, Plouerh; Bet-bam P. Edwards, Junction; Hubert S. Collyns, Red Lion. In Southhook, William O/uin-n. Masoniic. In Woodend, William H. Kilgour, Royal. In Cust, James Kennedy, Half-way House.
