Owing to tho "amateur" definition adopted by the conference of sports delegates, tie Cricket Association will have to notify the Federation of tho names of those players who receive more th<a.n the allowance .provided m tho definition., and these men will bo stamped as professionals, cricket being classified as -a game at which amateurs and professionals can play' together. A curious exception is mado in regard to golf, which is treated as an individual game, and therefore excluded from "teams" games, in consequence of which club? camnot hold open obionpicmshipe, n.iul professionals and amatemirs oajinot meet.
