Mr Graham, S.M., delivered the Nautical Court'e decision in yiih< enquiry into tho collision between the launch Matakana and tihe steamer Lady Koberts on the 18tl: April. The Court found Joseph Coddai master of tho launch, guilty of negligence in tho navigation or' tho launch, inasmuch as lie entrusted the steering to irresponsible persons, and did noi keep a proper look-out. The .collision was solely due to an error oi' judgment on the pnrt of. Coddoi in suddenly porting his helm.
