John Merry and Mi»nie Brown -were charged with indecency in a puWro place, and sentenced to 48 hours imprisonment. Mary Blue, for soliciting prost*t*. tion, was sentenced to a months imprisonment. Edgar Witting was fined 20s, or, ra default, Feven days' imprisonment, for using insulting language, to a pohooman. Oliver Ernest Campbell pleaded guilty to two charges of etealing bicycles, but denied a third ahar|re of a similar nature.- The police eaid they had no evidence to offer in regard to the last, charge, which tM&s withdrawn. The lad was re-committed to the industrial farm at Lovin.

Two first offenders for drunkenness were each fined Sβ alnd coste, in default 24 hours', imprisonment. Patrick Pope (Mr Donnelly), for procuring, liquor during the currency of a prohibition order, was fined 20s and costs, in default eeven days' imprisonment.

Jas. Graham, for disobedience of a maintenance order, was ordered to pay the arrears.of £i ICtej in default one month'e imprisonment..

On a charge of being about to leave the colony without providing for the rnnintenaince of his unborn illegitimate child, IlaroJd Percival Squires (Mr Flrc-jhor) was released on bail of £100. Wm. Morris Txuirence was ordered to pay 20a a week and costs towards tie nitiiutouance of ihis wife.

A maintenance order against Walter Gcotrp Sea tree for the support of his illegitimate child was cancelled, the woman concerned agreeing to this procedure, as e.ho.w«s now in a bettor position than tiro father of the child.
