CHEVIOT.

I The annual meeting of the Collie Club waa held in the McKenzie Hall on Saturday afternoon, Mr. B. C. Wilson, presiding. The balance-sheet showing a balance of £22 lis 8d was considered most satisfactory, and was adopted. It was reported that promises, so far, of special prizes for the next trial, amounted to upwards of £12. Votes of thanks were passed to the secretary for the energetic manner in which he had performed the duties since the inception of the club; to Messrs Macßae Bros., for handing over last year's prise mohoy to the funds ot tho club; and to Mr Pulley for the use of his paddock in which to hold the trials. The following officers were elected :— President, Mr W\ T. Robinson: vice-presidents, Messrs Giles, Archibald, and Campbell; judge. MY W. 0. Rutherford; committee, Messrs Smith, Lee, McGilvray, Fleming, McTaggarfc (2), McGrath, Wilson, Little, Hodgson, S. C. Smith, Cottrell, "Willis, McQueen, Evans, Barnes, Forbes, Vaughan, Gee, Johnston, Heard, McAdam, and Pulley. Special prizes were offered by Mr V. Mcßae (£3 for most points scored in Class 4, Cheviot farmers) and Mr G. Mcllao (£1 as a third prise in the same event). Mr D. Johnston was elected assistant secretary The next trial will bo held in Mr Pulley's paddock on Friday and Saturday, May 29th and 30th.
