PAPANUI.
There was an attendance of about fifty at Papanui, slr R. S. Hawke presiding.* The report stated that- twenty-seven hoys and eighteen girls had capitated for the Government learners' swimming grant. Tho report and balance-sheet was adopted. ' . On the motion of Mr Buhtin, it was recommended to the new committee that tbev should assist the School Committees'"Association to bring about the installation of the single desk system. It was also recommended that a tennis court should bo constructed. The election of tho new committee resulted as follows:—Messrs Brookes, Amyes, Simmonds, Blumskey, Wren. x,ra.nd3tator, Barnard. Hudson, and Ca-lder. slr Wren was elected chairman.
