The annual meeting of householders was very numerously attended, Mr W. 0. Burns, tho chairman of the committee, beang voted to the chair. An apology was mv.de for the absence of Mr SJeay, headmaster. Tho committee's report stated that parents would readily recognise that the efhriciit working of tihe school had been; worthily upheld. Tiie committee's suggestion that single desks should bo adopted was not adopted by the Government. A bazaar held to raise funds for the library realised £178-14s Id, but delay he'd occurred in purchasing books owing to the want of suitable acco.-unio.jia.tion.. The Board's dork of Works bad reported favourably'on the quci'ticn of fncrcaidng the accommodation at the school, and it was expected ihirt knprovemftKs would bo made during tho Christmas holidays. A certificate had been received from the Home Industries Committee of the New Zealand International Exhibition for the sc-'wei exhibit. r l r :io committee placed on record its appreciation of the Rev. W. S. Bean's good work in connect ion with the classes for religious instruction. Tho report was adopted without disouwiont

Mr J. Spii!?r moved a, hearty vote of thanks to the ladies and gentlemen mentioned, and the motion- was carried by acclamation.
