The Hawarden Athletic Sports were held on Easter Monday imder very favourable conditions. The w&ather was of the best, and tie officials are to be coneratulated on the prompt manner in which the events were got off. The chief event of the day was the Hawarden Handicap, first Dri* , £10. which resulted in a dead heat. All the events were well contested. The srate takings amounted to £19 17s.
