Tie weather was fin© at Ashburton yesterday, for the holidays. A large number of people went south by tho express to Temuka and other places, ■ end a big contingent attended the race tneeting held in tho Chertsoy Domain. 'Others wont on picnic excursions to the ihouth of tho river and other places.
