Gwendolina and Zimmerman ran a mile and a half, the first mile slow, the 'ast half at top, taking SOJsec. They finiahid together. Gwendolina did not seem to walk too. soundly afterwards. Contender and AH Red cut out six furlongs in lmin lßiec, a good gallop. Chief Lochiel and Silk Web left four furlongs behind in 50sec. ITercy. Heliantbes, and North Pole covered seven furlongs in lmin 33soc. Rock Ferry broke away, and ran four furlongs, tho boy not being able to hold him. Pull Rate was indulged with a half-pace gallop on the Fl<"»<jh. Volodia was given an easy canter. Highland Reel cut out five furlongs in lmin Ssec. All Guns and The Libyan covered six furlongs in lmin 17J-.ec. Alexis, and Amakcura ran five furlongs in lmin "sec. Devoma, Thunderer and Hilarity put .up a good gallop over a'mii-o in lmin 45aec Buccleuch and Ingieneuk were associated over six furlongs in lmin 19sec. Jacket took lmin 23sec for the- last six furlongs of a circuit. Prim cut out six fu-- ! longs in lmin.l7.e_. Pretty Nell and Sea Girt ran Tiali a mile in SOJsec. Grandstand did two circuits at a steady pace. Merry .1—38,. English Rose and SaH&m ran five furlongs in lmin Ssec, Merry Lass having the best of it. Cannoneer, -with the Sophistic colt to bring him along, cut out four furlongs in SOeec. Kilts, Master Leslie, Appolyou and Balaclava were given seme practice at the starting gates. They all shaped well.
