The match between the Cshri6tchurch and Akaroa teams, played at Akaroa, on Sabn-rday, resnlted in a win for the Christchareh team hy 9 points to 3 The first spell was -very even, being mostly confined to the forwards. Towards the end the town pack opened oat, and a paeeine rush between "Moor*, Jacobean and Tonka, ended ia tha latter getting over at the corner. N» 50a! waa kicked. -Christchurch made tbe game more open in tho second half, their backs being superior to the local men. From good -passing rashes Tanks. and Shad-bolt got over. The •local -©rw_xd_ wakened up, and -Spoooar, _fter a run-from half-way, obtained a try, bo fnither score, re-'-ulting.- * ■■.;;.-•.
