Thomas Kerr, caretaker of Gamstown Golf Links, was tried on a charge of murdering ' Ellen Pinnock, ten years ago. Tho body was recently found under his cellar, through th© revelation in a trance ot a medium named Staples. The jury disagreed, and Kerr was discharged. TW r O GUNBOATS BURNED. BERLIN, November 15. By a fire in the Baltic shipbuilding yard two gunboats were destroyed. CANADA AND UNDESIRABLES. OTTAWA, November 15. Doctor Gordon, of Pennsylvania University, has discovered an intelligent and vfirtuoup tribo of Asiatic origin in tho Alaskan wilderness. The tribo is governed by priests, who are patriarchs. By a cage accident in the Barrow Colliery, Barnslcy, seven men wore killed. JUVENILE SMOKING. Sir Henry Campbell-Banncrman hopes next year that a Bill will bo introduced in Parliament to stop the sale of tobacco to juveniles and juvenile smoking.
