AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION,
Tho committee of the. Canterbury Automobile Association m«t last night. Present—Mr A. Morten (in the chair), Dr. Thncker, Dr. Gibson, Dr. Neeley, Messrs W. E. Mills, H. Thompson, M. Steeds. F. H. Chamberlain, W. Sey, and P. Wood.
Mir 11. M. Maodonald wrote forwarding his resignation as a member of the committee, owing to his leaving shortly for England. Mr P. Hallonstein was elected to fill the vacancy. It was resolved to write to Sir Josepn Ward and Mr A. W. Rntherford, M.H.R., pointing out to them the absolute necessity for erecting a bridge across the Waipara River. In connection with w*e forthcoming reliability trial to Dunodin, it was decided that any person who was a competitor, or who was interested in any car competing in the trial, or in any other trial wliich the committee might hold, should bo debarred from taking any part or voting at any meeting winch might be necessary for tno settlement of any point or dispute, or for the adjudication of any appeal. The following were elected a sub-committee to draw up tho conditions of the trial • -M««re A. Morten, R. M. Macdonald, E. HL James, \\. E. Mills, I). Crosier: H. Thompson, F. H. Chamberlain, and Dr. Thackcr.
