NEW YORK, October 14. Tho Nary Department has ordered from American collieries 123,000 tone of steam coal for the Pacific cruiee. All the tenders for Welsh coal were negatived.
A recent message announced that the United States Government intended to prevent tho inflation of American contractors' prices, md would shortly invite tenders et Cardiff for £200,000 irorth of coal for the fleet proceeding to cruiee in the Pacific.
