M.H.U.'e, stating that steps had been takon in Parliament to protect the interests of the Water Supply Board. ~ ~ \ letter was received from the railways, stiting that it was not intended to make any further alterations in tho train service at present. Great dissatisfaction wos expressed at this reply to a request for an enquiry iuto tho present circumstances. Members churtuterised the eyetem at present in vogue as atrocious, and eaitl they were determined that some alteration should toke place. It was dccidexl that the secret iry continue the agitation tor a quicker service, and it was also decided that public meetings should be held, end petitions of nil the districts concerned drawn up, and the matter t«ken to Parliament if necessary, mo chairman mentioned a suggest ion ok a member as to leaving tho lobbies 01 Kast and West Oxford stations open at ull times, so that private letter boxes would be available, but after expressions of experience md opinions it was not considered advisable to interfere with the existing circumstances. Mr O'HaUoran mentioned th© intended visit of tho Premier to the district, and eoltcited the interest end endeavours of everjone to meke the event worthy of the occasion and tho nuest. It was decided to hold the next meeting on Monday, October 28th.
