AUCKLAND, October 12. Edward Roberts, aged about 40 years, -was picked up by the police in Lower Queen street this morning, and es he appeared to be seriously ill » constable conveyed him to the district Hospital, where he died half an hour » tte radmission. A certificate from Dr. Hooper was found in Roberts's possession stating that he was suffering from heart disease. GREYMOUTH, October 14. A man named John Watson was drowned in Granity Creek at Haupiri through his horse stumbliug and throwing him uito tho week, which waa in a flooded stnte at the time. Watson's parents reside at Templeton.
OAMARU, October 14. The pohco received information this morning that the body of James Fleming h«s been found in the Waitaki river three miles from tho ford where he wns supposed to havo been washed off his horse on September 2nd.
