The Lusitania has lowered 1 the colours of the Germans. The -westward record was previously held by the HamburgAtnericai) liner Deutechland, which averaged 23.10 knots an hour. The Lueitania'e run of 617 mi lee in 24 hours, chronicled on Saturday, is also a record, the next best being 607 mil«e by the Deutschland. The Lusitania's performance works out at within a fraction of 25] knots an hour.
