It is officially announced that Great Britain and tho United States, pending arbitration on tho subject, have arranged n modus vivendi for tho conduct of tho Newfoundland fisheries. 'Ine nrrangements nro substantially tho enme as those of tho agreement of 1906. American fishermen may ship Newfoundlanders as members of their crews outside tho tlireo mile limit, and America in return waives the Use or purse seine nets, and undertakes that American fishermen shall not fish on Sundays.
