SPREYDON ROAD BOARD DISTRICT.
£20,000 LOAN TO BE RAISED.
A largely-attended meeting of the ratepayers of the Spreydon Road Board district wns held in the. Addington school last night. Mr S. Robertson, chairman of the Road Board, presided. The purpose of the meeting wa.s to consider a .suggestion to borrow £20,000 for the re-grading, channelling, and kerbing of the roads throughout tho districts. Mr Down moved, ond Mr Clark seconded :—"That the sum of £20.000 bo borrowed and expended on the suggested work." Mr Johnston moved, and Mr Wheeler seconded, an amendment to the effect that the suggested work was preuiiture.
