United Press Associttion—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. (Received June 11th, 11.11 p.m.) SYDNEY, Juno 11. At tho Methodist Conference thn Rev. C. H. Garland moved' that the New Zealand Conference bo given permissivo legislation to deal with the stationing of ministers either in representative or ministerial session of the annual conference. Ho said there was a strong desire that New Zealand should po.«sess that power. Tho Rev. Mr Lawry moved an amendment making it mandatory tha. the question should be transferred to tlio representative session. This, together with a number of other amendments, was negatived, and the original motion carried by 53 votes to 20. On Air Garland's motion, it was decided to tender congratulations to the three branches of Methodism in Japan on having accomplished a union.
