JAPAN'S DIFFICULTY IN RAISING LOANS. AIEAT FOR THE PHILIPPINES. United Vrtta Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. (Received Juno 11th, 0.40 a.m.) BRISBANE, June 10. Tho following news has been received from the Queensland commercial agent in the East:— The Japanese papers contrast the reception of Prince Fnshinii in England with the disastrous failure of Air Takahashi, of tho Bank of Japan, who was unable to raise fresh loans in Europe, and only succeeded in obtaining tho renewal of oxi.ting bonds with tho help of France. Newspapers assert that immediately upon America's refusal to assist AI. Takuhashi the Rothschilds demanded exorbitant terms, and Germany refused help. France only responded in return for the promise of the recently arrangwi treaty. Owing to the spread of unrest in Korea, Alarqnis Ito has urged tho Mikado to accept his resignation as Premier. Tho Chief Commissioner at Manila has advised that tenders will open on Ist July for the supply of 6,000,000 pounds of frozen beef and 21)0,000 pounds of frozen mutton, during the year ending June 1908.
