The Dusseldorf Iron and Steel Exchange announces a serious diminution in large orders. This, coupled with other information, is interpreted to mean that th© boom which German industry has enjoyed since 1902 is about to be ended. The high bank rate, a concomitant of the boom, had tho advantage, which is now apparent, of preventing many manufacturers from enlarging their works.
