SAVAGE CLUB.
■ - ♦ Christchurch was invaded on Saturday by a hordo of Wellington Savages, under tho leadership of their vico-presi-_en_, Sava.go J. Al. -kirk, and tneir secretary, fiavago J. Dykes. They first visited tho Art Gallery, at tho invitation of tho President of tho Art Society, Savage E. Jennings. After lunchj and favoured by lovely weather, tho visitors journeyed in a special car to inspect the Riccarton Racecourse, and then, at tho invitation of the President of the Christchurch Savage Club, Sarago Pat. Campbell, they enjoyed a visit to Ham. In tho evening tho invaders wero the guests of tho Christchurch Savage Cub at dinner, and afterwards, at a special korero, at the Chamber of Commerce, where all the items, except tho orchestral selections, were given by the visiting Savagea. The latter were especially strorig in vocal and instrumental talent, whilo Savngo Clark excelled as a reciter, and Savage Kenny and Savage Dykes as accompanists' and humorous singers. On Monday next Savage Fenwick, medicine man, will take the chair, and the korero will be conducted chiefly by his medical brethren.
