THE LATE EXHIBITION.
The tide of devastation and demolition has spread to the famous Canadian pavilion, and all day yesterday workmen wcro engaged in pulling down tho supports, cross-beams, and tie pieces, mid in removing tho timber and other material to tho Machinery Hall, where the next sale is to take place on Saturday. ' A start was made yesterday with the work of pulling to pieces the Aquarium recently disposed of by auction, and before many days the building which .contained one of tho most popular features of the Exhibition will bo in ruins. Tho once-glorious fernery has been cleared of its contents, and all that remains i 3 an unjovely mass of stone and soil. Preparations are being made at f 'Wondcrland" for the removal of the attractions of that resort to their permanent homo in Auckland. Mr A. L. Baird, the manager of tho "Wonderland" Company, Is at present in town on business connected with the removal. A quantity of odd stuff, not worth shipping North, will bo disposed of locally, together with the contents of tho flower beds. One of tho camels died yesterday, but the other four appear to bo in good condition.
