RECENT RAILWAY MISHAPS.

THE COLLISION AT BANKSIDE. (special to ''the press.") WELLINGTON, June 8. J. Meikle and A. Seaman, driver and guard respectively on a Southward bound train which collided with another at Banksido some time ago, have been dismissed from the service. Moiklo was interviewed by a "Post" reporter to-d«y, and strongly condemned the laxity in the sj-stem of giving drivers instructions, and tho inadequacy of tho time allowed to get ongines in order, and fully acquaint oneself with 6uch instructions.
