_+ EYRETON. The last monrtihly meeting otf the itoad itoaird. was attended by .utbsra Bumin, Evans, Skevington aud \Vright. Mr _van_ was elected chairman for the year. Tine railway engineer wrote forwarding a plan and agreement for execution in. ooniuedtian with a strip of land fronting the railway reserve No. 468 fram the Ohoka road to the ferry reserve No. 71, fcetvomteen feet wide, to be dedicated aa a road, it was agreed that tbe agreement be signed and sealed. Mr Norman 11. \Yi_ian_- wrote stating tha, he had disponed of his inteiest in the lease of reserves Noe. 1547, 1518 amd: 1303 at Eyreton to Mr Viotor OJdlman as from May Ist, 1907, and endk»ing cheque ; for £31 12a 6d on account of rant. Mr ! (Jldman' applied for assistance ia put- jl ting the fences in order, and for the purchase of grass eeod. It was resolved that Mr Williams be informed that the Board require the terms of the lease to be complied with before agreeing to the transfer of the lease to Mr Old'raan. and to iniform Mr Oldman the Board cannot comply' with his request for assistance, as it -was his duty to see that the tenms of the lease were complied with by the former ten- < ant. Messrs John Foster and F. W. . Jackson wrote offering to work Kind's bird traps for killing small birds in the district if a fair price was given for the birds caught. It was resolved that ninepenoe per dozen be paid for small birds. A case of scarlatina wrus reported in a house or* Uhe Tram road Mr It. O. Dixon wrote advocating the purchase of a steam road roller, -but consideration was deferred. A baiHot was taken to decide on the retiring membere at the enid of the .current year, and tbe lot fell to Messrs Evans awd Skevimgton. Tbe tender for office of ranger and caretaker sent in by Wiliam Springs (£7, and sixpence per dog oollar) was accepted.
