DR. COLLINS.
Dr. W. E. Collins, M.R.C.S. (Wellington), was born in India, and educated at Cheltenham College, England. He studied for his profession at the London University, of which he is a graduate, and at St. George's Hospital. London. In 1876 Dr. Collins gained his diploma as member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Enjrland, and became Bachelor of Medicine at London University. In the following year while in the Metropolis he gained considerable experience at the Brompton Hospital for Consumptives. Soon afterwards Dr. Collins came out to New Zealand, and after a few months' residence in Nelson he settled iv AA'el lington, establishing his present practice. For many years he has been a member of the medical Ktnff of the Wellington Hospital. Dr. Collins has taken great interest in ambulance work. He is Surgeon-Lieutenant-Colonel in the New Zealand Medical Corps, and principal medical officer of the AVellington Volunteer district.
