Oarlton tJhen rallied and soon had their opponents on tlio defensive. Gordon, lodging a beautiful goal from a mark. Quartertimo was then called. From the bounce Wanderers took command, forcing play to the Carlton territory, but Vearce relieved nicely. Again Wanderers attacked, this time to scor© an »jasy goal. Wanderers etill kept Carlfcoii! busy for tho rest of the half. Starting the second half Wanderers soon had then- score increased by two goals \n quick succession. After threequarter time Carlton started early, and West lrjged a nice goal froim a mark, but Wanderers goon retaliated ■with a couple of goals. Tim© wae then called. Vijnderers—9 goals 9 behinds, 63 points; Carlton —2 goals 2 behinds, 14 points.
