France supports Great Britain in regard to the latter's Note to China, insisting that a danger would be caused to the Chinese national credit by any tampering with tho Customs. Germany first condemned and then approved of the edict. She lias now reverted to her first attitude, owing to representations of German bondholders of AngloAmerican loans, the security for which is the Customs.
