LONDON, May 18
In the Hoiu=e of Commons, Sir Edward Grey. Foreign Secretary, informod Mr Henniker Hriaton that a draft convention had Ixx-ii prepared by the Anglo-French Commission, which was intended to make an equitable .settlement between British and French interests in the New Hebrides. The Government \v;:s awaiting the observations of Australia and Now Zealand to this proposal. The Commonwealth had drawn attention more than once to the effect « tariff would have on its interests in the Hebrides.
