PIETERMARITZBURG, May 19. Colonel Leuchar's force killed six Zulu rebelii on the outskirts of the N'Gala bush on the Tugela river. In the fight near vxitewayos grave, some of the enemy were driven into tho forest, and some, while leaving the scene of fighting, were surprised and captured. Colonel Mackenzie lias begun extensive operations. Twenty-ono of Sigamandi's and Silivana's followers have surrendered. Tho '"Natal Mercury," in en apparently inspired article, declares that t*lie presence of warships at Durban, at the outset of tho trouble, would have dispelled tho idea that Great Britain was holding aloof. Even now a paiade of •bluejackets and guns in the streets would have an excellent moial effect-
