SYDNEY, May 20. Mr Seddon has arranged for tho Australian papers to publish more New Zealand news.

THE EAST.
SYDNEY, May 20,
Mr Seddon yesterday had an interview with the Japanese Consul r°lative to the establ.shment of a direct service with the East.
Tho Consul was much pieaeed with the Government's intended act.on. A fortnightly service is proposed between New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Java, and Japan. The ictia has been favourably received in commercial circles here.
