In the return cricket match between the Akaroa County and Borough Councils the County team scored 83 and 71, and the Borough 53 and 61, the former thus winning by 40 r uns. An exciting match was played at Spreydon on Sahnday between, the Oxford Te.rraco Baptist aSenicrrs and Spreydon Senioiv, when tho former won by two wickets and 2 runs just on tha call of timo. Scores:—Oxford Terrace 18 (A. H. Nicld 101 and 57 (A. E. Lawrence 17 not out, C. Spicor 13); Snrevdon 23 amd 50 (A. Moreland 11, Rev. J. 0. Martin 10). E. E. | Johnson, G. Paterson anid G. Tate bowled well for the winner.', and A. Morel-iid and G. Xicho-s for the !<.-.-• =.
