Wheat—Owing to the moderate shipments and light stocks in the United Kingdom tixe wheat markets are firm. Though the demand hae not improved the tone ib more cheerful. All seJllers are firm; 32s is asked for cargoes nearly due and 3us 9d to 31s for ehapraente of Australian, on spot, and 33s ex ship. Eight thousand quarters of South Australian, for prompt delivery, sold »t 319- The American visible supply is 64,11,000 buehek. Flour—There is a slow sale, owing to higher prices. Patents 23s to 23s 3d, at store, London; 24s Glasgow. Butter—-The market ie quiet. There are small! supplies of choicest, and there is a good demand ait late prices. There is a little better inquiry for secondaries, and prices aw irregular. Oheeae—The market ie dull; white New Zealand 62e, coloured 65e to 66e. Rabbite—The warm weather ie cheek- s ing the sale. Large have declined about sixpence. Second grade and young are unchanged. ■ Sugar—German Sβ 6d, first marks 10b 6d. Bradford tops—Tbe market is animated, and prices are unchanged. Console, 90|. Sheep—Canterbury, Ifeht and medium 4Jd, heavy 4d; North Island 3{d, beet brands 4d; lambs, Canterbury light and medium 6d, heavy 4}d, North Island 4id- Beef is unchanged; River Plate sheep aire unchanged; beef, fores 2 5-16 d, hinds are unchanged. The British and Auatralian. Truet and Loan Company report shows the profits for the year were £27,191. The sum of £2000 was added to the reserve, and £11,192 was carried forward.
