COLONIAL NAVIES.
SUPPORTED BY AN ENGLISH ADMIRAL.
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, April 14. Admiral FitzGerald, writing to the "National R«riew," urges British statesmen to recognise the. colonial feeling in favour of a locally owned erad controlled navy, a feeling which ie based on broad Imperialism. He advocates the immediate remission of the money contribution, and without changing the distribution of the Imperial warships, thai the Commonwealth and the other colonies be left to do as they choose in the direction of starting navies of their own, Great Britain lending suitable ships and instructors. Admiral FitzGerald is confident that such colonial navies will be available to fight for the Empire whenever they are most wanted.
