REFEREE'S CONFERENCE.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION , TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, April 14. At the annual conference of the Now Zealand Rugby Referee*' Association, there were present—Messrs Isaacs (president), Warden (vice-president). Robb (lion, secretary), and the following delegate.*:—Auckland, Mr Mackie; Taranaki, .Mr Griffiths; Wanganui, Mr Simpson; Mtnawatu, Mr Manning; Wellington, Mr Evans; Hastings, Mr Sttibbs; Nelson, Mr Oldershaw; Canterbury, Mr Evans; Otago, Mr Wileon. T)io President ?aid that leading members of tho "All Blacks'' team were of tho opinion that referees in New Zealand had little to lenru from their confreres at Home. The laws of tho game were dkcussed, and an uniform interpretation of cacTi rule was agreed upon, which it is hoped will bring about the result aimed at by tho conference.
A football match between a W.iikariHawarden team and tho North Cantorbury Club was won by the Lit*or by G points to 3. For North Canterbury W. McDonald scored two tries, anu far the lowers H. Cuninghani registered a try_. Mr H. Sutherland was referee."
