SATURDAYS MATCHES. The annual Easter fixtures took place at Lancaster Park on Saturday, when Southern (Otago) played Albiou, and a tact and open gam« oy the local team enabled Caetn to win by 13 points to nil. It is seldom such a good exhibition ie given by a. team co early in the season, and the Blacks ere to be commended for their fine play. On No. 2 ground Linwcod bad an ' easy win against Union (Dunedin), the local team being euperior both back and forward. On the south ground aierivale met their old opponents, Alhambra, and. after a very uninteresting forward scramble the former won by a try to nil. The attendance was fair, £32 12fl being taken at the gates, besidee a large number of tickets that were sold outeide. The oold easterly wind prevailing made mettens a trifie unpleasant from the onlooker's point of view, but did not interfere seriously with the play. The lady members or' the Albion, and Linwood tearra dispensed afternoon tea.
