ASHBURTON LAND SALES.

There wae only a small attendance, and the leases of two qtuuteracro sections only were sold, tnese being 219 and 220, situated at the corner of Cameron and Park streets, whMi were sold to Mr R. J. .Steele, at a ground rental of £5 per year each. A quarter-acre freehold section, situated in Peter street, was then offered in the estate of the late Thomae Langdon, and after come spirited bidding was sold to Mr R. Bird for £60. The N.Z. Farmers' Co-operative Association., at tiheir auction mart, offered on account of Mf H. Cullen, a compact little faiTm of 136 acres 3 awods, with good dwelling-house and outbuildings, situated at Eiffelton, in the Longbeach Sistrict. Bidding was very spirited, and from a start of £25 an acre it quickly reached to £30 an acre, at which price Mr T. White became the purchaser. Mr D. TKbmtis, in conjunction with Mr F. Ferriman, offered at BullocVe Arcade, on account of Mr A. Harvey, a farm of 43 acres, with dvreling-houso and outbuildings, situated cloee to the Mount Somers township. The bidding started at £15 an acre, and the property was jxisised in at £16 10s, but coon afterwords it wns sold privately to Mr C. Beckley. A tliree-quarter acre eection, with blacksmith's shop, situated at Hinds, wae offered, on account of Mr J. W. 8. Moßowell, and passed in at £210. A quarter-acre section, witli sixroomed dwelling-house, offered on account of Mr R. J. Winthorpe, and situated in Peter street, Ashburton, was passed in at £310.
