RUSSIAN OFFICERS VEDSION.
ANOTHER STEAMER FIRED UPON. SYMPATH FROM TOKIO. The Russian officers at Vigo assert thai fifty boats continuing to advance despite the signals to retire, the Admiral signalled "I am attacked by warships," and the neet then fired. The master of the Norwegian steamer Skaatoe states that on Sunday, when in the English Channel, the Russian warships fired on his vessel, ceasing when the Norwegian flag* was hoisted. Tlie Mayor of Tokio cabled to the Mayor of Hull expressing Japan's profound sympathy with the victims of the Russian outrage. The Tokio Press is astonished at the coaling facilities granted to the Baltic fleet at Continental ports, and claim that Japan is not receiving fair play.
