Spong and Harknees both trundled well, nnd the fielding showed improvement.'The XIII. matte a much better itand with the bat in the second innings, and notched! 126, thus saying tne innings defeat by one run. Harknees waa top scorer with, a well played 28, and Danks also batted capitally for 27. Callaway waa again in great form with the ball, getting 5 for 19, whilst' tho fielding was first-class.
