The decision mean* that the Corporation will Ivave to tear np a fair-sired piece- of the track it. Tho work will probably occupy a month at least, cost nomo hundreds of pounds, and delay tlie opening of the express route for a considerable time. It is stated that Mr Seddon is at the back of the whole trouble. Tlie alteration insisted upon means the abolition of the carriers' shelter sheds, which tlie Premier long ago stated he would have down somehow, though the Council up to the present, has refused, as the abed* are useful to the carrien».
