Mail 3 close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations: TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3. For Northern Pork and Westport, per Mararoa, at 7.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 7.35 p.m.; guard's van, 5.35 p.m. train. ■WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4. For IDunedin, per Moura, at 11.10 a a.; late fee letters, 11.20 a.m.; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Westport, per Zealandia, at 7.20 p.m.; late fee letters, 7.35 p.m.; guard's va.n, 8.35 p.m. train. FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 6. For Australian States (due Sydney November 11th) and South Africa, also Northern Porta and Westport, per Mokoia, at 3 p.m.; late foe letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. Mails for South Africa close at Melbourne on November 4th and 10th. The San Francisco mail, leaving Christchurch on November 10th, is due in London on December 12th. Mais for Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji, per Hauroto, close at Auckland on November 18th, at 4 p.m. Mails for Raratonga and Tahiti, per Rotokino, close at Auckland on November 3rd, at 4 p.m. Mails for Fiji, also United States, Canada, and United Kingdom, via Vancouver, per Taviuni, close nit Auckland en November 4th, at 11 a.m. POST OFFICE HOLIDAY. NOVEMBER 3, KING'S BIRTHDAY. A close holiday will be observed at all post offices. Mails for despatch on Monday. 9th, will close at 8 p.m. Saturday, November 7th.
