(BY OCB COSUIEECUL EDITOR.) There Was a fairly large yarding of stock, especially wheep, and a good attendance. Beef wis in limited supply, and prices advanced, while fat lambs were easier. Store sheep sold at about late rates, and there waa a dull eale for pig*. Freezing wethers sold well, 'but ewes were irregular and prices easier. STORE SHEEP. The entry of store totalled 5813. and were mostly ewes. The best classes of breeding ewes and forward wethers sold well, and there -was a better enquiry for lambs. The principal salts were:—l 33 two-tooth ewes 14b 3d, 92 two 'and fourtooth 12s 7d, 246 six and eight-tooth. 16s, 107 at lis 9d, 71 mixed ages 12s, 154 feound-mouth 9s 6d, 452 at 8» 3d, 87 aged 6s 3d, 250 at 5s Id, 135 wethers 13s Id, 152 at 13s, 158 at 12s 7d, smaller -lots lie 9d to 13s 6d, 300 merino wethers 3s 6d, 454 ewes and wet-bars 10s Id to lis lid, 454 la'mtw 9s 4d, 147 at 9b 9d, 173 at 8s 6d, 64 at Bs. FAT LAMBS. There were 2576 fat lambs penned, a large proportion 'being in unfinished condition. Competition was not very brisk, and prices were easier in tho early part of the sale, but improved somewhat afterwards. Tlie quality of a considerable part of the yarding was above the average, but there were a good many linens of old ewes that were not more than half fat. lucre was good competition for prime freezing wether?, but backward sorts and flushed maiden ewea were neglected by the exporter*.
