At the annual sheep dog trials a short I delay was caused by tho fog on Friday' -I morning, but shortly before 9 a.m. & stwt I was made to finish Class 1., of which Mi * I G. Taylor's Roy, 29 points, was the win- ,|l ncr, Mr R, R. Pollock's Dick, 28 potato, ■ "A being second, and Mr J. Kcnnody'n To: a, \(9 27 point*, third. ■?■ The competition in Class IT., heading, • i bringing back and yarding, was very c*oee, ■ and the successful yarding by some o! tf»- . . dogs was vigorously applauded. . Mr R. ".' J R. Pollock's Ned, 20 point*, was first, Mr % f H. T. Little's Doon, 27 point*, second, Mr - W. W. Wright's Corbie, 26 points, third, ' Mr T. Henry's Ben, 25 points, Mr W. Logan's Smut, 24 points, and Mr R. Trotter's Storm, 20 points, being next in order. Mr J. Kennedy's Toss, who w&s leading in , ' points for tlie Champion Cup, had bad luck in meeting with aa awkward lot of cheep, which moved away from tha flag up the hill, and when headed got back to the j-ards. The Hnntaway was won by Mr R. Trotter's Glen, Mr J. Kennedy's Help being second, and Mr R. R. Pollock's Cydft third. These and Mr T. Henry's Too were the only ones to complete the course.
