REPORT OF THE MOSELY COMMISSION. AN INTERESTING COMPARISON. United Preas Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. (Received April 19th, 4.57 p.m.) LONDON, April 18. The report of the Labour Commission under Mr Alfred Moseley, which recently visited the United States to inquire into tho labour conditions there, states that employers in America offer their workmen inducements to extra effort. Employers in England regard machinery aa entitling them to reduce wages when earnings are high, while the contrary view is taken in America.. The report pronounces the extreme specialisation of labour in America to be a great drawback, causing strain and shortening the lives of American operatrves, whose hourse are slightly longer than those of British workmen. Britain ia declared to bo in advance of America in the matter of technical education. The American workmen are more energetic, more sober, and less addicted_ to eport.
